Friday Roundup: Same $%&@, Different Day

If the groundhog’s smart, he wont come out today. Too damned cold.
The Roundup:
- BGS has a nice write-up of how a little school in Indiana made an offer to big time kicker in Ohio, and won him over. It’ll warm the cockles of your heart.
- HRB explains the wheel of pain in recruiting. Oddly, the wheel of pain has nothing to do with fraternity hazing at Florida State.
- If EDSBS were a sales guy, and their Fulmer Cup were a product, right now they’d be talking about how this year’s edition is really gaining “traction.” That would be funny if you were me.
- Looks like SouthernCal and Notre Dame have found one thing upon which we will always agree: Urban Meyer is an ass.
- I add this because I’m a geek.
- While their coach is an ass (see above), I have to admit, Florida has got a few really good bloggers.
- And just to put the universe back in balance: Southern Cal football players are stupid. Or, as some of them might say, “Los jugadores meridionales del balompié de California son estúpidos”

Regarding that post about Urban Meyer on the SC blog: since when can any legitimate football fan refer to the contracted waiver of college fees in return for athletic performance as a “schollie”? Every perpetrator’s anscestors with a pair just rolled over in the grave. I bet they’re all “holla’ back girls”, too.
Give up, Q. No one is reading the Internets today. Everyone is too Super Bowl cah-raaaaazy. Kermit’s prediction? Bears 31, Colts 21. And Saturday Night Live performs its first funny sketch in 10 years, reuniting the “Superfans” (less Farley).
