NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Jody Schrage, 45, wife of University of Notre Dame head baseball coach Dave Schrage, died this afternoon at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, following a six-week-long battle with cancer and related complications.

“All of the thoughts and prayers of everyone at the University are with Dave, their daughters Kaitlyn and Brianne, and their family during this difficult time,” said Notre Dame athletics director Kevin White.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
