Army All American Game Dominated By Irish - On and Off the Field
domer.mq
If you watched the Army All American Game today, you may have noticed a few things:
- There were A LOT of soon-to-be-Irish playing in the game.
- A few hoped-for recruits did not commit to the Irish. They also didn’t get a lot of media coverage after the game, unlike ND’s recruits. I guess the producers of the game were just trying to simulate the college game as much as possible.
- Matt Romine decided to join what has to be one of the greatest 2-year Offensive Line recruiting hauls in Irish history. Welcome, Matt!
- The Irish recruits dominated both on the field and off. Get used to it, guys. You’re gonna have a huge opportunity to impact the Irish on the field, and a huge amount of exposure on television.
- Aurelious Benn, Illinois’ top recruit, got to see what it was like to play for a lousy offense. Excellent training for the next few years!
- USC just keeps hauling in mad skill. This year it looks like they recruited 11 amazing defensive guys, all named Chris Gallipo.
- The national guys for Scout.com may be the only people on the planet with less on-air charisma than John Saunders.
- Gary Gray is gonna play a big role in making sure few 50+ yard passes are completed against the Irish in the near future.
- Greg Little is awesome.
- Justin Trattou apparently impressed the coaches of the game more than any other defensive player.
That’s all I can remember off the top of my head, but MY GOD is the future bright for the Irish.

Did you mean Greg Little? Chris committed to FSU.
I did. Thanks. I always screw that up.
Seconded, Greg Little IS awesome. And a really friendly character to talk to.
Q, I will acknowledge that yes ND recruitng has picked up but the fact is the game is on NBC and Lemming helps pick the teams. ND has always had a disproportionate number of recruits at the game. What did you think of Mallet though? I look forward to some good Mallet-Clausen battles over the next few years.
I don’t want Mallet anywhere near Clausen. He might mistake Clausen for a sandwich and eat him. Seriously, I didn’t know the Adams Family had a good football pedigree.
And to think, he is two years younger than Clausen.
