And Knowing Is Half The Battle

After a nice chunk of "serious" bowl game action, we now know the following:

  • I hate Dodge Trucks with the fury of a gigantic robot boxer.
  • I feel an undeniable urge to purchase a Chevy truck. I also feel an irresistible urge to run John Mellencamp over with said truck.
  • The Big 12 sucks to no end and should lose "BCS Conference" status as a result.
  • Colorado may have gotten the wrong guy.
  • ND avoided a big problem by not doing what Colorado did.
  • In about 5 weeks, the afterglow will wear off for Ian Johnson and Chrissy Popadics.  It'll be snowy and cold in Boise.  And grey.  And Chrissy will not realize it, but in the back of her mind, she'll be wondering what happened to all the passion and excitement cameras and crowd noise.

Sure, they're happy. For now.
  • Say that name slowly: Chrissy Pop-a-dics. Uh huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuh.
  • I've never really matured past 14.

domer.mq's heroes
  • Fox Sports is the ADD Addled Alpha Dog of Sports Broadcasting.
  • Boise State doesn't have massive brass balls, just an appreciation for the moment. Those who dare, win, but it's a lot easier to dare when you aren't supposed to even compete in the first place. The more impressive thing: Boise State competed without even needing balls (or trickery) for the first 59:50 of football.  Mitigating Factor for Awesomeness: It was Oklahoma and they're in the Big 12.
  • Calvin Johnson has a reasonable lawsuit against Chan Gailey and Reggie Ball.
  • Alabama should offer the job to BSU's Peterson.  Not because he'll take it.  I'll just enjoy watching it.
  • Charlie Weis ain't going anywhere.
  • We're male and we're stupid.

Really, really stupid.

  • Darren McFadden: 2nd in Heisman Voting, 2nd Best Running Back on his Team?  Probably not, but...
  • West Virginia doesn't play defense and may not need to.
  • We don't need a playoff.  It would rob us of Cinderella Stories like we had last night.  This ain't basketball.
  • Michigan sucks the chrome off a Harley.
  • Sometimes you eat the bar, and sometimes, well, the bar eats you.

  • Herbie reads blogs, which leaves little wonder why he's the most informed college football analyst ESPN's got.
  • Finally, future notions that a losing team should get a rematch with a victorious team for a championship are dead.

Feel free to tell us what else we know.
