Seriously. I just heard an announcer on SportsCenter say this. What the F*&K? I am damn sick of this ridiculous bias ESPN has against the Irish. Literally, the man just said 'when'.
And all day, watching both the OSU-MI "battle" and the USC win over Cal, I heard time and again how there's NO WAY Notre Dame should be in the BCS Championship, even if we beat USC next week, the #3 team (soon to be #2). Why is that? Well, their logic is that MI beat us bad, so Michigan should be there instead.
Okay, I think that's fair. But only if Michigan goes in for the re-match. If we beat USC, there is no team other than Michigan that would deserve to be there more than the Irish. At the least, it should be a tough debate. But according to ESPN, it's a non-issue, the Irish do not deserve the consideration.
Which is more anti-ND B.S. from the network.
For some reason, an 11-1 season wouldn't be good enough for these guys. They were ready to put Cincy-loving Rutgers in before the Irish last week...and it is killing me. Seriously. Killing. Me.

The root of their bias the still the NBC contract that we enjoy.

Couldn’t agree more. Wait until you read ESPN’s sad little Heisman watch with the goofy arrows. It’ll make your blood boil…

I have nothing but respect for the guys at ESPN and ABC (especially you John Saunders) for being able to commentate and enunciate so well with a trojan penis in their mouths’ for all these years. Best ventriloquism show ever! They must also have mastered circular breathing because they haven’t come up for air in years, just a couple little gags.

At one point, Herbstreit said something like this, when talking about one loss teams and the NC game:
And let’s not forget Notre Dame, they could win next week because USC is not that good.
WHAT?
