Friday Roundup: Baby, It’s Cold Outside.
domer.mq
Friday is upon us. I am back from my intellectual survey of Tortuga’s natural offerings. It’s damned cold here. Somehow this work week has seemed like an infinite loop of people saying, “You’re back!” Really? Damn. Was hoping this was a bad dream.
Like I said, it’s cold outside here in Chicago, so if you’re feeble or just sorta wimpy and have a ticket to tomorrow’s game, you should sell it to me post haste and skip the game so you can enjoy the warmth of a fire, a nice cup of Gevalia with a bit of International Delights’ Irish Cream, and the latest Daniel Steel. I’ll take the bullet and stand outside all day tomorrow in your stead.
The Roundup:
- IRT has a video of Joe’s coming-out party.
- House Rock Built reminds anyone worried about tomorrow’s game that Charlie Weis owns the cooter.
- You know UNC ain’t getting much respect when, on the eve of their game with ND, BGS is still talking about last week’s game with Navy.
- EDSBS points out that Stanford players, while terrible at football and probably intelligent, are sorta naive about personal cleanliness.
- SMQ discovers that, in fact, most of the play-by-play guys at ESPN are amateurs, just as we all suspected.
- The Big Lead predicts BCS headaches and trumpets the return of Old Yeller to Denver. If you live in Denver, we hear Tulsa is nice.
- Deadspin noticed that a lot of WVU players have a rather unusual major. Do they get class credit just for practicing?

I saw “The IRT has a video of Joe’s coming out party” and I got a little worried.
I’m married with a kid, Damnit. Oh, that Joe. And that coming out party.
We also had video of North Carolina’s coming out party, but we decided not to post it.
