Once again, it's the disparate reaction to ND by the pollsters/media. It's not 'beat USC and you'll be fine'. That misses the point - I am talking about inconsistent standards. If you're TX and come back against a weak opponent, you move up. If you're ND, you move down. Yes, if ND loses to USC that will hurt their BCS chances immensely. And they are still ahead of us. And don't even get me started with all the near-losses by top 10 teams this week. Were they penalized? Nope. Not like ND was last week for a near-loss to UCLA. Insane.
